In this position, I work in support of the City’s communications, public engagement, and government affairs functions. Working closely with the City Manager, I develop and execute strategies on activities and issues important to the city. 

I manage the City’s printed, electronic, and social platform communications, marketing, branding, and media relations efforts and ensures alignment with City’s strategic communications plan. I also monitor state, federal and regional government legislation and activities, developing legislative programs and coordinating activities with other public and private sector entities.

In this position I worked to foster a mutually beneficial relationship between Webster University and the City of Webster Groves. I also developed and implemented a strategic institutional brand campaign with an advertising budget of more than$70,000 to raise awareness of positive attributes of the University to the community and higher-education industry. I also coordinated the planning and execution of a three-day diversity & inclusion conference, which draws more than1,000 attendees from across the region.

I was hired as a Media Relations Officer and promoted to Associate Director in December of 2014. In this role, I served as one of the primary points of media contact for the University. I helped manage the main social media accounts of the University. I also assisted in crisis communications.
